Inspection standards and methods for cabins


I. General Provisions

1. Before mass production, the supplier must make a set of pre-production samples (trial products), which shall be shared with the product quality department and other relevant departments of the company

2. Before delivery, the supplier shall be checked by the incoming quality control IQC according to the prenatal samples and drawings.

3. The warehouse can receive the goods only after the incoming quality control confirms the incoming quality and signs the delivery note.

4. The sampling rate of finished products shall reach more than 10%, and the defective products shall not be stored in the warehouse.

5, special cases, through the joint examination or special adoption (special way, such as: according to the grade).

6. In principle, suppliers are not allowed to rework or follow the line in our company.

Two, inspection method:

1, according to the prenatal sample (trial product) control examination.

2. Assembly and matching inspection. Distinguish materials, components, hardware, process, specifications, instructions and other related accessories, complete installation of the steps on the installation instructions, the purpose is to check whether there is insufficient product structure and production accuracy, but also to verify whether the instructions are correct operation.

4. First production inspection:

The first piece is the first qualified product in mass production. During daily startup, mold change, mold repair, equipment repair and material replacement, the operator will make the first part according to engineering drawings, process requirements and quality standards. The first part of the inspection is not qualified, the product can not be produced. The first confirmation is divided into detailed (or machining) first confirmation, assembly (or assembly) first confirmation, painting (or painting) first confirmation, packaging first confirmation.

Three, quality appearance inspection common sense

1. Product appearance requirements

Product appearance requirements are technical requirements for wood processing, finishing processing and hardware fittings installation.

After wood processing, the following defects are not allowed:

A. Parts made of wood-based panels should be edge banked but not edge banked; That is to say, in principle, wood-based panels (multilayer or MDF) are all required

The following defects are not allowed in the products after paint processing:

a. The whole product or complete set of products have obvious color difference; The product surface coating has paint film wrinkle skin, hair sticky and paint leakage;

b, the paint film coating has obvious fog light, white, white spots, oil white, flow hanging, shrinkage, bristles, powder, impurities, scratches, bubbling and peeling; (Add pictures) c. There are depressions on the surface of soft and hard cladding materials. Pitting, scratches, cracks, broken corners and edges;

d. The uncoated parts of the product and the inside of the product are not clean;

After hardware fittings are installed, the following defects are not allowed:

A, accessories are missing, there is a mounting hole is missing mounting parts; The installation parts are leaky or through-nailing;

B. The starting of the moving parts is not flexible; The fittings are not firmly installed and loose;

c. Rough edges around the mounting holes.

Four, wood moisture content requirements

When the moisture content of wood changes greatly, the internal stress of wood will not be uniform, and the appearance of wood will be deformed, warped, cracked and other major defects. Generally, the water content of solid wood in Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas is controlled according to the following standards: the material preparation section of solid wood is controlled between 6 and 8, and the machining and assembly section is controlled between 8 and 10. Three plywood moisture content control between 6 to 12, multi-layer plywood, particleboard, MDF control between 6 to 10. Generally, it should be controlled under 12.

Ix. Assembly inspection standard

Assembly principle: dense, flat, solid, accurate

General inspection standard for assembly

1. Before assembly, all accessories must be accurate, including materials, components, hardware, process, specifications, instructions, etc., must be correctly matched;

2, all the vertical joints must be tightly connected, firm, no cracking, the base level is flat, is placed, the relevant diagonal equal, symmetrical and harmonious;

3. All the glue must be used correctly according to the quality requirements;

4, all the connecting parts of the assembly must be coated with glue, glue evenly enough, after the assembly around the overflow can be;

5. Gluing method: Before gluing, blow the dust off the parts to be glued with an air gun. The gluing in the space must be distributed in a ring, and the four walls are glued; Long hole (female

Tenon) glue on the larger sides of the wall; Tenon shoulder larger parts tenon shoulder position need to be coated with glue;

6. The spillover glue should be wiped clean in time, and there should be no leftover glue that will affect the coating;

7, the set time must be guaranteed, the standard time according to different types of rubber;

Requirements for assembly

1, diagonal length of the side length ≥1000 ≤1.5 < 1000 ≤1.0, for example: crib head and guardrail diagonal generally within 1000mm - 1400mm, diagonal length error should be controlled below 1.5mm.

2, pieces (panel) warpage, 700≤ diagonal length < 1400 ≤1.5, diagonal length < 700≤ 1.0, for example: the guardrail or the head of the bed is placed on a level datum, the normal four corners should be smooth, if there is one or both sides of the warpage, the warpage range should be controlled in 1.5mm below.

3, the stability of the foot mm ≤1.5; For example: the assembled bed or furniture, requires four feet parallel to the ground, but if there is warping phenomenon, the range should be controlled under 1.5mm.

4, adjacent verticality mm panel diagonal length ≥1000 ≤1.5, < 1000 ≤1.0, refers to the assembly of furniture four corners and the vertical of the ground, through the diagonal comparison of the value.

During the coating inspection, 100% full inspection of the paint effect is mainly carried out according to the color palette. The inspection key points and precautions are as follows:

3, feel must be good;

4, smooth naked eye looks whether there is a jump knife;

5. Whether the sand marks are clean;

6, all surfaces shall not have any cracking, knife marks, degumming, sand penetration, sand jumping, sand marks or scratches, bruises and other phenomena;

Xii. Inspection standards of finished products

1. The size and shape of the product shall be made according to the confirmed sample and meet the requirements of the drawing.

2. The parts are positioned accurately according to the requirements of the drawings to ensure that the tolerance of shape and position meets the requirements of the drawings.

3, surface quality (front) smooth, no uneven, no nailing hand phenomenon.

4, the same type of product before and after the batch color difference should not be more than 5%, no bottom, peeling, bubble, flow hanging, thorn hand bumps, orange peel, pitting, foam printing, impurities and other adverse phenomena.

5, no bruises and other defects, excessive edges and corners smooth, consistent thickness, no deformation.

7, 3mm concave points shall not be more than 3, and shall not be gathered within 10cm2; Convex points are not allowed.

6, smooth, uniform color, no color difference with the front, no impurities, foam printing.

7, and the parts without leakage bottom, peeling, bubbles, flow hanging, thorn hand bumps; The hand does not touch

Xiii. Test standard for adhesion of coating

1, wood film coating is not allowed to have bare bottom, peeling, powder, slag, leakage embedded putty, brush bristles, edge, shrinkage hole, color difference, flow hanging, wrinkle skin, white spots

2, paint film hardness ≥HB (HB pencil on the surface of the product to draw "#" shape straight line, no scratches, damage phenomenon.)

3, paint film adhesion: Drawing method (using the drawing device or wallpaper knife on the surface of the product to draw "#" shape square, linear spacing distance of 2mm, and then use sealing glue

The paper paste is torn off vertically for three consecutive times without peeling of the paint layer.

Xiv. Hardware inspection standards and requirements

5, solid electroplating, can not fall off phenomenon;

Xv. Inspection Standards and requirements for cartons

1. The appearance is neat and clean, the proportion between the printed data and the carton is well-proportioned and the handwriting is clear;

2. The hardness and toughness of the carton shall meet the requirements of the purchase order;

3. The joint of the carton shall be nailed tightly and neatly;

4. The carton size shall meet the order requirements;

5, do not accept color difference, do not accept ink and other pollution;

6. Cartons and shipping marks shall be accurate and in line with business information;

7, do not accept scratch, wrinkle and layer;

8, humidity control within 12 degrees;

Xvi. Matters needing attention in inspection

1. The number of test groups shall not be less than half of the sample quantity according to the sampling standard;

2. Required to cooperate with the factory quality control supervisor or production supervisor to inspect the goods and record and track them;

3, the point is divided into main and secondary, the main shortcomings must be required to cooperate with the factory comprehensive processing before shipment, secondary shortcomings are included in the next inspection focus, requirements in the process of improvement;

4, after completion, the inspector must decide whether to accept or reject, and issue the inspection report;

5. Members must bring the following items:

Swatches, packaging instructions, hardware instructions, orders or copies, measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, etc.)

7. The container shall be used as the unit, and the goods shall be inspected only after 2/3 of the packaging has been completed. The container shall not be loaded before the inspection;

Xvii. Special terms

1. Disallowed defects: defects that have a serious impact on the basic function or appearance quality or safety of the product, such defects are not allowed to exist in the product.

2. Obvious defects: They do not constitute disallowed defects, but affect the performance or appearance quality of the product.

3, minor defects: do not constitute disallowed defects or obvious defects, only on the product practical performance and appearance quality has a slight impact or almost no impact on the defects.

4, the main part: refers to the main surface of the product at the intuitive place.

5. Secondary parts: other parts that do not belong to the main parts.

6, qualified products: there should be no disallowed defects, obvious defects, only allowed in the minor parts of the following two minor defects.

7. Verticality of adjacent side: the verticality of the adjacent vertical parts of the product. That is, the untorque degree when the product (component) is rectangular.

Adjacent verticality measurement: Use 3m steel tape (or steel ruler) with an error of no more than 0.6mm per meter. Use a steel tape measure (or steel ruler) to measure the two diagonal lines of a rectangular part, and the difference between them is the verticality of the adjacent side.

8. Horizontal deviation: the degree of parallelism between the horizontal plane and the horizontal ground should be folded.

Horizontal deviation measurement: Use a steel tape measure to measure the height off the ground at the middle point of each group of opposite sides of the square table, and measure the height off the ground at the highest point on the circumference of the circular table and at the other point over the center of the circle. The ratio of the difference to the side length (or diameter) is the measurement value of the horizontal deviation.

9. Flatness: the local flatness of the surface of the product or part within the range of 0-150mm.

Flatness measurement: Use the flatness measurement instrument with an error of no more than 0.2mm. During the measurement, the instrument is placed on the tested surface of the specimen, and the three parts with the most serious unsmoothness are selected respectively. The distance between the tested surface and the reference line within the length range of 0 ~ 150mm is measured

One of the maximum values is the flatness measurement value.

10. Warpage: the overall smoothness of the surface of the product or component.



Pre-production Inspection (PPI)

A visual check on the quality of components, materials, and accessories at the beginning of production against clients' specifications and/or reference sample. The PPI thus permits timely corrections and improvements before the mass cargo will be manufactured, any non-conformity is immediately reported so as to avoid delay in shipment. In general, we will check the following aspects for PPI:
Evaluate the production status during the manufacturing process
Randomly inspect the finished samples on-site and compare them with your product spec
According to the evaluated status of finished and semi- finished samples, rearrange the QC layout in the factory.
Evaluate the packing details and packing material
Check the accuracy of production equipments and disposal methods for defective goods


100% inspection (Full Inspection)

When the merchandise is 100% completed, we will check the quality of goods unit by unit, which covers product description, style &color, workmanship, quality, function, label, package, size measurement if available etc, to make sure 100% of the goods meet your specified quality requirement. Note: for those products of high value or complicated internal structure, we suggest to take full inspection.


Container Loading Supervision (CLS)

Before loading, our inspector will check products' information, qty, package, during the course of loading, our inspectors will keep closely look at the loading process, ensure that the export cartons are well arranged in the container with no risks of deformation, collapse, help manufacturer finish loading under correct and clear working clauses and working process. In general:
Record the weather/arrival time of container/No./truck No Check the inner/outer condition to see if there is any
damage/wet/hole/peculiar smell Check the qty of goods loaded and record the condition of outer packaging(master cartons/pallets).Randomly draw and open some cartons to verify that the goods meet with clients' specification Supervise the whole loading process.Seal the container with the custom's seal and unique quality inspection's seal Record the seal No. and departure time of container.


Random Inspection

(Pre-production Random Inspection, During Production Random Inspection, Pre-shipment Random Inspection) As per customer's quality requirement, we will sample the products according to international or other standards to inspect the packing, appearance, color, size, function, safety, etc.
Purpose of Pre-production Random Inspection: To help know the production status & raw material quality and avoid any mistake on quality standard, order quantity and make sure that the order is arranged;
Purpose of During Production Random Inspection: To help know the production status & product quality during production and avoid any mass quality problem & abnormal production situation;
Purpose of Pre-shipment Random Inspection: To know the finished products quality & quantity and avoid any mass quality problem & shortage shipment.

  • Is package testing necessary for all products?

    Package testing is mandated by regulations for some products such as; food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dangerous goods, etc. This may cover both the design qualification, periodic retesting, and control of the packaging processes.   • How can California Prop 65 affect my business?

    Prop 65 is the 1986 voter-approved Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act that includes a list of Chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and/or reproductive toxicity. If a product contains a listed chemical, then the product must contain a “clear and reasonable” warning label informing consumers of the presence of the chemical and stating the chemical is known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

    Although companies with fewer than 10 employees are exempt, if they sell a violative product to a retailer with more than 10 employees, the retailer could receive a notice of violation. In these circumstances, retailers usually rely on clauses within their contacts with importers that require the importer take responsibility for the violation.

    A plaintiff may seek injunctive relief requiring a company caught selling a violative product to suspend sales, conduct a recall, or reformulate the product. Plaintiffs can also obtain penalties of up to $2,500 per violation per day. A more general California statute allows most successful plaintiffs to recover their attorneys’ fees as well.

    Many are now choosing to rely on 3rd party testing companies to verify that hazardous substances are not being used in their products.

  • How can my products meet regulatory requirements for hazardous chemicals?

    The simplest way is to engage a 3rd party testing company, such as YONGSHUN. Some manufacturers self-test and/or rely on local testing labs for certifying their products. However, there is no guarantee these labs, or their equipment, are reliable. Nor is there any guarantee the results are accurate. In either case, the importer may be held responsible for the product.   • What does AQL mean?

    AQL is the acronym for Acceptable Quality Limit (or Level). This represents a statistical measurement of the maximum number and range of defects that is considered acceptable during a random sampling inspection of your goods. If the AQL is not achieved for a particular sampling of goods, you may accept shipment of the goods ‘as is’, demand a rework of the goods, renegotiate with you supplier, refuse the shipment, or choose another recourse based on your supplier agreement.  

    Defects found during a standard random inspection are sometimes classified into three levels: critical, major and minor. Critical defects are those that render the product unsafe or hazardous for the end user or that contravene mandatory regulations. Major defects can result in the product’s failure, reducing its marketability, usability or salability. Lastly, minor defects do not affect the product’s marketability or usability, but represent workmanship defects that make the product fall short of defined quality standards. Different companies maintain different interpretations of each defect type. Our staff can work with you to determine the AQL standard that meets your requirements according to the level of risk you are willing to assume. This becomes the primary reference during a pre-shipment inspection.

    It is important to note; the AQL inspection is only a report on the findings at the time of the inspection.
